Prominent Democratic leaders have been engaged in some heated exchanges with former president and titular head of the Democratic Party Bill Clinton. The source of the tension lies in Clinton’s overly aggressive attacks against Senator Barack Obama while Clinton has been campaigning for his wife, Hillary.
According to Newsweek.com Democratic notables such as Sen. Ted Kennedy and Rep. Rahm Emanuel, neither of whom have officially taken sides in the party nomination race, have both berated Clinton, telling him that he needs to scale back his fiery rhetoric. Newsweek.com notes that Clinton, Kennedy, and Emanuel offered no comment when questioned about this story.
In the past Clinton has likened an Obama presidency to “a roll of the dice.” He also called Obama’s stand on the Iraq war a “fairy tale.” South Carolina’s Rep. James Clyburn, himself a black American, publicly stated that Clinton’s remarks and attitude were insulting, implying that they were also possibly racist.
Clinton’s attitude and his obvious nervous frustration over the power of the Obama campaign carry with it the odor of desperation. While we here at bloodredstate.com have zero desire to see Barrack Hussein Obama in the White House, we do think he’d be light-years better than Hillary as POTUS. Its fun to see Clinton lose his cool every five minutes and, like Kennedy and Emanuel, we think his outbursts will only hurt the Democratic cause in the future.
Please keep it up Mr. Clinton. And while you’re at it please have another affair. You know you want to.
